Travel Vaccines

passport

There’s no point spending hours choosing your swimwear, beach bag and flip-flops if you barely think about the bugs and other health risks that could ruin your holiday.

Almost one in four UK holidaymakers don't get any vaccinations despite travelling to areas that have life-threatening infectious disease.

It’s not worth skipping travel vaccinations. Infectious diseases can make you very sick, spoil your holiday and even kill or cripple you.

Vaccinations

Some travel vaccinations are freely available on the NHS. Others are only available privately. A list of  vaccinations and charges are available from our reception team.

A charge of £15.00 per individual or £15.00 plus £5.00 for each additional family members travel form will be charged.  This charge is for the Nurse administration time to process the travel vaccination request.

This entails checking:-

  • What vaccinations are required for the country being visit.
  • Patient's vaccination history on their medical records
  • Any other significant patient history relevant to receiving vaccinations.

Even if the patient is aware of what is required, the Practice has a duty of care to check all of the above areas before considering what will be administered.
